The Institute for Hebrew Bible Manuscript Research is dedicated to researching, documenting, publishing, and disseminating information about the Hebrew Bible and related texts in accordance with the highest standards of academic integrity and scholarly objectivity.
Institute Goals
- 1Create a centralized catalogue of all Hebrew Bible manuscripts.
- 2Photograph, document, describe, date, and investigate all Hebrew Bible manuscripts.
- 3Create a centralized database of all interpretations of the Hebrew Bible in historic and modern sources, reflecting both traditional and critical approaches to the text.
- 4Cultivate and support scholarship that aims at these objectives.
- 5Publish the results of these investigations in peer-reviewed academic publications.
- 6Educate the public about the results of these investigations.
- 7Make resources available that facilitate the appreciation and study of Hebrew Bible manuscripts by both scholars and the public.
